Daniel Harper, designer for Elseware, designer of the Ashhole, seeks intern to work on-site in Brooklyn shop. Hours: flexible. *This is an unpaid internship (opportunity to grow into paid work).

This internship is ideal for someone interested in learning about product design and more.

I work on extremely diverse projects: everything from costumes, molding & casting, sculpting,
model-making, to design and installation of interiors. And with many materials: plastic, metal, wood, ceramics, resin, fabrics, etc. I'm looking for a creative, three dimensional thinker - someone who understands objects and materials.

• You must be comfortable with basic shop skills: table saw, drill press, and with basic materials: wood, plastic.

• Good communication skills required as you may be dealing with clients and handling some light correspondance (via email). Computer skills a plus (any three-d software, photoshop, internet research, etc.)

• Be prepared to show portfolio.

This work is extremely hands-on and I need an extra pair of hands. Lifting and carrying involved. In addition to learning everything about product design from sketching to manufacturing you will have access to a shop.
